"Apple of His Eye"

In a desert land he found him, 

in a barren and howling waste.

He shielded him and cared for him;

he guarded him as the apple of his eye,

Deuteronomy 32:10

The "apple of the eye" refers to the pupil, a delicate part of the eye that is essential for vision and therefore must be protected at all costs.

That is how God cares for us!
